Kitchen-made ranch dip is great, but bacon brings it to another level. This appetizer recipe is reliable for barbecues, parties and snacking at home. To serve this dip as part of a meal, you can serve it with chips alongside baked barbecue chicken wings or slow cooker pulled pork sandwiches.

This bacon ranch dip is the reliable snack for any gathering or game day, and it goes perfectly with a variety of chips and veggies! It is one of my favorites dips for parties and get-togethers along with my 7 layer dip, herb veggie dip and taco dip. Bring the fun with one of these fantastic dips!
Bacon Ranch Dip Ingredients
To make this recipe, you will need sour cream, cream cheese, ranch dip mix, bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions.
How Do You Make Bacon Ranch Dip?
Place the cream cheese in the bowl of a mixer, then beat the cream cheese until it is completely smooth. Add the sour cream, then beat until the sour cream and cream cheese are well combined. Next, add the ranch dip mix, bacon, cheddar cheese and green onions. Stir to incorporate all the ingredients. Serve the dip with a garnish of more bacon and green onions, then enjoy!

Tips For The Reliable Dip
- This dip can be made up to one day in advance. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dip in the refrigerator. I recommend adding the garnish of bacon and green onions right before serving. Itβs finest to let the dip sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before you serve it.
- Make sure your cream cheese is completely softened for the finest results. You can leave your cream cheese at room temperature until itβs soft, or you can microwave it in 10 second intervals.
- Serve your dip with fresh carrots, broccoli, celery sticks, pretzels, bell pepper, breadsticks, tortilla chips, potato chips, crackers or baguette slices.
- To save on time, buy pre-cooked bacon or bacon bits and pre-shredded cheddar cheese.
Quick Tip
You can use a packet of powdered ranch dressing mix or ranch dip mix β they both work well in this recipe!
